I want to use SSL to secure my connection between my client and
DB2 on AS/400.

I don't khnow if it is possible!

The required ports are 8470 to 8476
How can I use ports SSL : 9470 to 9476?
I don't know where I can configure/change this parameter on the client
WDSC?

I think there are some threads about this in the archives. IIRC, there
isn't currently a direct way to select the ports that WDSCi uses for
communication with the server. I haven't tried this myself yet, but it
may be possible to use something like STunnel (www.stunnel.org) as an
intermediary to change the ports used. The basic idea is that you tell
STunnel to connect port X on your PC (where X is the port or ports used by
WDSC) to port Y on the server (where Y is the port or ports where the
server accepts the incoming SSL connections), and STunnel takes care of
the encryption. Then, instead of pointing WDSC to port X on the server,
you point it to port X on your PC, where the data is encrypted and
forwarded to the server.

I know it sounds complex, but I managed to set it up for a different
application once without too much trouble. If you are successful, please
let us know what you did - I think there are at least a few people on this
list who would be interested.

Good luck,
Adam
