Violaine,

Yes, you understand correctly. I was only wondering why, since I've already
established an active connection to the server, do I have to select the
server again in the iSeries Command Log view? I was thinking it could see
the existing active connection and default the view saving me from
having to manually select the server.

I'm using Softlanding's iSeries Editing perspective which has the iSeries
Command Log set as a "fast view". This setup allows me to quite
easily bounce between my LPEX editor and a command line with prior command
retrieval. It's that first time into the iSeries Command Log view that was
throwing me off a bit but, like I mentioned earlier, I have a reasonable
workaround and am satisfied with it.

Kind regards,

BJ

Hi BJ,

I'm not really sure what you mean, but I'm guessing that what you want is
to see is the command line (which doesn't appear when you start WDSC).
When you start WDSC, the iSeries Commands Log is blank.
If you look at the top right, you will see a small upside down triangle
that when clicked-on bring up a menu (sometimes referred to a "twistie
menu" or the "triangle menu").

defined, and the command line will appear.

Hope that helps!
