Thanks to everyone for your input.

I did read your other email (Joe). My biggest concern is the added expense
should the unbudling become a reality. That uncertainty makes it even
harder for me to justify investing my time right now in even exploring
EGL. Other competing vendor products have been nixed by upper management
early on due to the license cost and annual maintenance fees. In the end I
think its safe to say I'm pretty sure IBM won't be the vendor with the
lowest cost, unless they do indeed intend to keep it free with the
existing WDS license (ahem... repeating the call from Duane for someone
from IBM to speak up regarding this).

This product seems to have such a great potential, and it could become
another feather in the cap of the i5, and after last weeks IBM earnings in
regards to the i5, you'd think IBM would use this product to help boost
the market for the platform (but that, as we all know, is another sad
story in the soggy strategy of IBM marketing of the i5).

Great articles Joe - I read three of them again yesterday.

Regards, Jerry
