Hi Jeff,

Just want to make sure the sequence:
You recompiled the program,
then you ran program
then you refreshed the SEP,
but you did not stop your program, and run it again?

If that is the case, the SEP may not be hit, since the entry point with SEP
set may not be hit any more.
After you refresh your SEP, you need to restart your program.

Thanks,

Thanks Xuan.
I have another question on this topic that perhaps you can answer also.
I have a program that I set a SEP debug session for.
After running the program, I make some changes and recompile.
Then I go to my "green screen" and start the program before refreshing the
SEP.
The program starts, and SEP debug does not take control.
I then use the "refresh" on the SEP, but the debugger never gets control.
Is it supposed to work like that?

I am using the latest version of WDSC.
OS Version = V5R2

Please be awared that this preference is used for all the new debug
sessions (not the ones you've already created and saved). Please turn it
off if you don't want to update production file later.

For regular debug session (invoked when you right click on a program or job
and then Debug As -> ...), you have a chance to set "update production
file" for each debug session. But default, it is off.
But for SEP, there is currently no way to set this option for each
individual debug session created when a SEP is encountered, and you need
to use the preference page.

There is a preference setting in Window -> Preferences -> Run/Debug ->
iSeries Debug that, IIRC, controls UPDPROD for SEPs.
