Hey Michael,

Yes, I'm still struggling with the web designers to get the latest APARs
listed on our web site (and the iSeries one).

Here's the abbreviated APAR text:

SE24464
Error.Description:
Running WDSC Adv v6.0.1 on XP.
User creates a new RSE connection to V5R1 and selects the option
in the signon dialog box to save userid and password.
The connection works fine. At a later stage, due to other
reasons that are unknown to the user, this userid status changes
to disabled. When user attempts to connect back to RSE
connection he is given dialog
- RSEC1004E The saved password is not correct.
This message dialog box is wrong, it should in fact say: User
profile <userid> cannot sign on.
The STATUS value for the user profile is set to *DISABLED.
i.e it should present dialog box for message EVFC1006I

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
The Remote Systems Explorer was issuing the incorrect error
when a user ID was disabled.

Problem Conclusion:
RSE will issue the correct message indicating that the
iSeries user ID is disabled.
This will be fixed in WDSC iFix 2, RSE 6.0.1.2

SE24874
Error.Description:
WDSc v6.0.1 doesn't display the prompt window to change your
password when the password has been changed on the iSeries. You
receive the prompt window that says the password is different
than the saved password you click okay and nothing happens.
Normally you would get prompted to change the saved password.

Local Fix:
Manually change the password for the RSE connection under
RSE preferences.

Violaine,

We've had a couple of incidents of problems with saved passwords. I
wanted to look at these APARs, but I can't find them where I usually look

for APARs:
http://www-912.ibm.com/n_dir/nas4apar.nsf/nas4aparhome

Nor can I find them if I search for them on the WDSC Support page:
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/awdtools/wdt400/support/

Is there another place to look for these APARs?

Michael
