I have received the same "RSEF1002E File system input or output error"
when saving source. I have not been able to establish a sequence of
events when and why it happens. The workaround I've been using is to
close the source member without saving it. Then reopen the same source
member and I get prompted that pending changes exist, similar to the way
SEU does when your job ends abnormally with a source member open.

I'm also running Version: 6.0.1
Build id: 20050725_1800

member
|
| I am occasionally receiving error "RSEF1002E File system input
or output error" when trying to save source that I have just finished
| updating. The details tell me that the member is locked by
job
| QRWTSRVR.
|
| Searching through the archive shows that many people had this
problem when trying to open a source member, but I did not see any case
of this
| happening on saving source.
|
| I am using 6.0.1 build 20050725_1800 with the SoftLanding
Systems Inc.
| Turnover RSE extensions installed. I am running on WinXP Pro
with 1Gb RAM to a Model 810 AS/400.
| Rational Updater does not show any updates available.
|
| Does anyone else have this problem or know of a fix, or
workaround, besides ending the QRWTSRVR job?
