You might want to try UltraMon.  One of it's features is to maximize a
program across all monitors.

Well, this is rather interesting...  One of the big enhancements in Eclipse
3 (the base for WDSC 6) was the ability to "detach" views/tabs (whatever the
correct term is) from the main window.  I have used this on occasion and it
is pretty sweet.  Until you asked I never thought about doing it with source
members. I would always drag one to the right side and then get a split
view. 
Just tried detaching a edit tab and it would not work.  Surprised it does
not work for them.  Would think that would be the big reason for having the
ability to detach.
