Rick,

I basically did the same thing you did but did not put the "...translate
binary=true". What does that do for/to you?

Richard,

I'm not sure if my version is the same but this how I set mine up. Hope it
helps.

Click on the new bookmark icon in the Database Bookmarks view. In the driver
selection window click browse. Navigate to the folder containing jt400.jar and
select jt400.jar. Click open. After returning to the new driver window select
the IBM driver and click on the class browse button. Select the class
displayed. Click OK. In the URL prompt enter
"jdbc:as400://yoursystemnamehere;translate binary=true" and click finish.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] How to view iSeries files using Quantum DB

I finally got Quantum DB perspective to show up: I upgraded to 6.x Advanced
and it just appeared. (I love my magic computer!)

Not being one to look a gift horse in the mouth, now I'm trying to figure out
how to view an iSeries file with it. The documentation I have found on
SourceForge has not been very helpful. I'm trying to create a database
bookmark, but there is only one driver to choose from and even fewer choices
when I try to add one. Anybody know the secret and willing to share it?
