We already create images for new PCs.  I want to do it for old machines.

If you're talking about new PC's, you could make an image of the HD after 
installation, and roll that out to the new PC's.

I've never heard of it.  If you find there is a way, be sure to post it 
here.  I'm sure there are a lot of people who would love to do that sort 
of thing.  Especially with the multiple gigabyte downloads/installs 
required for the process.
