Hi David,

The data tools are available in the standard edition. Make sure you have
the Database Developer capability enabled in the Workbench > Capabilities
preference page.

Re: [WDSCI-L] RE: Plugins Similar to Prodata DBU

On the subject of DB support in WDSCi, would you know the answer to my
Database Explorer inquiry? I do not want to pay for the AE, and I have
been
told by our salesman they cannot provide me with a demonstration copy to
review prior to purchase.

I am using the WDSCi IBM Rational Software Development Platform Version:
6.0.1 Build id: 20050725_1800 that is freely distributed with V5R3
"5722-WDS
new orders now have entitlement of the new V6.0 workstation tools, IBM
WEBSPHERE DEVELOPMENT STUDIO CLIENT FOR ISERIES".

I open the Data perspective, right click on the Database Explorer view
located in the bottom left of the Data perspective and am NOT finding the
New Connection menu option. Is this only available with the AE of the
client? I could not find any clear documentation w/n the WDSCi Help
library
or at the
http://www-306.ibm.com/software/awdtools/wdt400/library/WDSCiSeries.html#Specsheets
.
I would like to connect to one of our MSSQL Servers and explore/create
stored procedures, tables.

 Thanks,

David Kelly
