RE: WDSCi Configuration For LapTop.

Mike,

Make sure your system has at least 7200rpm drives.  Most laptops come
with 4800 or 5400 rpm drives that create a substantial bottleneck.  Also
get as high a speed front side bus as possible as this is another bottle
neck. And definitely get a real Pentium processor, preferably p4 30Ghz
HT or better. 

My laptop is a p4 3.2g HT, with 1g mem, 60g 7200rpm hard drive, 800mhz
FSB, Radeon Mobility 9600 128mb. Performance is very good; the initial
load time for WDSCI is 18-23 seconds depending on the views that were
open when I closed it last.

My organization is willing to cough up the cash for a laptop. I want to
ensure that what I get is able to run WDSCi 6.0 at an appropriate speed.
I understand that 2gb Ram is a wise choice. Does anyone have any advice
or recommendations for remaining specifications?
