I get that same message every so often. I will open 1 member in RSE
and then do nothing to it and then save it. I also get this same message
if I am working on a .java file that is stored on my local C: drive.

When I do this I stay in RSE and do not shut it down or toggle to
the green screen. I have even tried opening a member and wait about
10-20 seconds and then saving it and the message pops up.

I can't figure it out either.

Jeff

Hi Ron,

The message you describe should occur when your local cached copy of a
member becomes out of sync with the host.
Specifically this can happen whe you are using members left open in the
workbench anfter you stopeed and restarted it (locks are only refreshed
when you save in these circumstances).

Please try clearing your local file cache:
Preferences->Remotes Systems->File Cache
Press clear.

thanks,

Has anyone ever gotten this error using WDSC Lpex editor on RPGLE
programs. Twice it told me that the remote member had been changed since

I opened it, but that was not the case. I selected overwrite remote
member twice. Now I'm getting an error that states (when I try to open
or
save it):
Operation failed. File system input or output error. When I click on
details I get:
Message reported from file system:
java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException.

I tried shutting down WDSC, rebooting, removing the filter, and creating
a
new filter, but I'm hosed now it still won't work. Wtf happened?
