But with the ability to compile RPG programs from the IFS this now becomes
an interesting tool. Check out the SRCSTMF option on the CRTBNDRPG command.
My problem before was that I couldn't get CVS running on the iSeries, but if
Subversion gets rid of that limitation I may be good to go! :-)

I think (hope) what has sparked the interest is that we have ported the 
Subversion server so that it can run on OS/400 and made that port 
available for free under an open source license agreement.  See:

This is more about not needing to setup a Linux or Windows server just so 
that you can run a tool like CVS.  Of course it is just a huge bonus that 
Subversion is such a great tool.
