Rob, from the properties sub-menu (right clicked on the appropriate
connection), choose the subsystem entry.  Then choose the iSeries Objects
tab.  On this tab is a check box to make the compile submit to batch.  Check
this and see if you get a job log on compile errors.  You can also specify
other sub job command options below.

You're assuming that there IS a spool file.  There isn't.  The only joblog 
is not spooled up yet.  It's only available by doing a DSPJOBLOG of a 
particular server job.

True, it is easier in the 5250 session.  I tried a spool file plug-in once 
but quit using it after a while.  I think it was because of speed but I'm 
not sure now.  IIRC it came from Turnover.  Might be worth looking at 
again.

No, but it's easier finding the job log for my compile. It's one of my
spooled files. With WDSc, it's not. The job belongs to some QXXX user
profile.
