Hi Scott,

        Are you referring to 'wdsc_jvm_update.exe'?  I have already downloaded 
and
installed that.  I also found a 'wdsc512_fix_5124.zip' which I am
downloading as I write this.  Is that all?

I agree with you... I've had the same problems with WDSC crashing and
causing me to lose a lot of work.  Not a whole day's worth -- though even
losing a few minutes can be a major problem for me!

One of the great things about the iSeries was stability. Moving the editor
to the PC means that the stability is gone, and you have to have extra
safeguards -- and other editors, Word for example, do have these
safeguards.

But, I also wanted to say that you can improve the stability of WDSC by
updating it.  No, I don't mean downloading the updates that go from 5.1.2
to 5.1.2.4.  I haven't found those updates to make much difference at all
in what I do.

However, there are JVM fixes (and possibly other things) on the following
site that really make a big difference:
