Matt,

You could do...

   FILES=/mydir/*.*
   for i in ${FILES}
   do
     ... call the program and pass "$i"
   done

... or just call the FTP client from within CL, and do the rest in CL or call a
HLL program for it.

Kind regards,
Paul

Does anyone have some good links on qshell scripts?

I need to run a proprietary FTP client (java) in qshell (which I have
already set up and run), but then I need to call a program and pass the
file name for each file received. I am thinking there is a way to retrieve
the directory listing (ls) then for each list entry call a program using
the list entry as one of the parms.

Any help would be appreciated.
