I do have the advanced version but when I go into the system screens runtime
option the tickbox is greyed out and theres a message saying "in order to
enable this support you must update the product using Update Manager."

I can't use update manager and I've installed all 4 interim fixes but I
still can't select it.

It is only available in the Advanced Edition, and
will bring up these screens only at V5R2 / V5R3 of
OS/400. (Do not be fooled by the IBM announcement,
204-089, that states it is supported at V5R1.) Also,
search for an IBM web site titled "WebFacing Tool
PTFs" for applicable ptfs.
If you have the correct version of WDSC, your
WebFacing project properties panels will display a
node under Run Time labeled "System screens" which
allows you to add system screen support.

Don Whittaker
