I tried this on the IBM newsgroup but no response so ....

If I have a DSPF source, RSE recognizes it as a display file and includes
CODE, Designer and LPEX in the "Open with" list - but it doesn't "check" the
default - which is LPEX. If I go into Associations I can change the default
(to Designer) but it has no effect - it uses LPEX.

I have even tried deleting the CODE and LPEX entries on the list and then
adding them back (to get Designer to the top of the list) - and it _still_
uses LPEX!!

Further investigation shows that the settings in preferences are clearly
being
completely ignored. I have deleted everything except Designer from the
association list and it still offers all three in the list and _still_
defaults to LPEX.

I have closed and reopened the workbench etc. and still no change.

Any suggestions? I am using 5.1.0.2 on Win2K with latest SP.
