On my grumpy days I ask why my boss can't be bothered to take the word
of my esteemed peers or <gasp> myself when we're talking about a
hundred dollar expenditure, but that doesn't seem to motivate him
much, alas.

If our company ever upgrades my PC and the official corporate minimum
machine only has 512 megs, I'll spring for the other 512 myself and be
done with it.
