1) Stability. I'm sorry but the program is not very stable. I'm on the
latest version, with the latest updates and I still get crashes on an
pretty advanced machine.
2) I'd like the ability to turn off auto-finish or whatever they call that
help thing when you key in a BIF or directive and a window pops up. That is
annoying. it gets in my way.
3) I'd really like a better printer/display file designer than Code
Designer.
4) I'd like it to remember the settings I set. Like on the iSeries Error
List. I have to tell it not display informational messages every time I
start the workbench.
5) I'd like the ability for the workbench to rebuild the outline every time
a source member is opened.
6) If I switch to the Web perspective and I have RPG or CL source open, I
obviously don't want to continue to edit iSeries source. Hide it and bring
it back when I go back to RSE.
7) A button or keyboard shortcut for compiles.

That's about all I can think of for now, but I'm sure I'll come up with
some more.

Thanks,

Mark

I'm interested in hearing back from the members of
this mailing list what they consider to be the top 10
problems with WebSphere Development Studio client for
iSeries (WDSC).

I'm interested in conceptual, usability or any other
type of problem that gets in your way of getting work
done.

I'm especially interested in things that can be
corrected through better documentation in WDSC or the
addition of more tutorials.
