Scott, Mike,

I'd like to clarify something. The statement I made below about a "future
announcement" is regarding a new release (I should be more careful on how I
word things).

We simply decided to skip the 5.1.1 version and focus on the follow-on
release. The details (function and dates) of the next release will be
announced in the near future.

 Sorry for causing any confusion.

Thanks.

If I remember correctly, it has already been stated that IBM will be
'transferring' Websphere Studio to the Rational group. BUT, I do believe
it was
said that the iSeries part will stay where it is at. So as far as I am
concerned it is ok for IBM to say they are not releasing 5.1.1. It just
means
something else is coming. Maybe a product renaming(could it get any worse?
;-)
I also believe they plan on integrating some of the Rational tools right
into
Websphere Studio by default.
