JDK 1.4 vs 1.3

I changed my JDK to 1.4 in WSAD 5.0 and now when I run on the WebSphere Test
Environment I get: 
 
[19/12/03 11:04:02:087 EST] 3451384a WebGroup E SRVE0026E: [Servlet
Error]-[RegisterNewAccount]: java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError:
com/hydro/servlets/testservlet (Unsupported major.minor version 48.0)

 

I was wondering if I need to change back to JDK 1.3 for my Java Code or
there is another setting I can change for the Test Environment.
