 >> For example, can I manually prime my cache with file descriptions so
that I can use these cool features without incurring the overhead of
resolving all of the references each time? I have poked around and do not
see it mentioned anywhere.

The problem with the V5 caching is that it never gets used unless you
specify "work offline" - but unlike CODE WDSc will not attempt to retrieve
file details for anything not found in the cache. It is a very silly design
which is supposed to be corrected in V5.1 which is out next month.

As to "manually priming" - that should be do-able but IBM have yet to
publish the spec. Everything is in XML files so one can always work it
out - assuming no "hidden" references!
