The 5.0 install will uninstall 4.0, but I would do it manually first by
running the uninstall from the Control Panel. Then delete the C:\WDSC
folder.

Then install 5.0 and run it once.

Then install Fixpack 0 and then Fixpack 1.

The whole process will take several hours as the uninstall and initial
install seem to take forever.

You can get the patches here, and you definitely want to get them:

http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=715&context=SSZND2&q=&uid=swg24004661&loc=en_US&cs=utf-8&lang=en+en

There is also information about required host PTF's in the readme file
that is linked on that page.

Subject: [WDSCI-L] Installing WDSCI 5.0 Question

Hi all,

I found that we have the CDs for 5.0. My question is, I'm currently
running
4.0 and want to upgrade. What do I have to do? Do I have to uninstall 4.0?
Are there patches? If so, can I get the URL for the downloads? Thanks!
