Joe,

Have you tried installing your application via the WAS 5 Admin console 
instead of the custom version that the iSeries provides?  You can get it 
to it via the custom iSeries version via a link.  The former allows you to 
specify where to install an application.  It would probably give you more 
control and take the cell name out of the equation.
