I ran into the same problem when experimenting with WebFacing and had to use
the Task Manager to kill WDSC. I haven't heard back as to a fix or a
workaround.

Anyone know what WDSC is doing when a "Progress Information" box pops up and
the informational message says "Collecting statistics"?

I've had this dialog up for about 10 minutes now ... If I click the cancel
button, the button goes gray and it continues to sit there.

I had just added some external JAR files to a java project.
