LPEX can be customized with new actions, commands, user profiles, and parsers. Further, all the existing parsers can be extended as well.

All must be done in Java. The only such 'macros' shipping with LPEX are the samples - see LPEX's API Reference in the help.

The public classes and API available for extending LPEX are comprehensive - i.e., that's exactly what's being used by the products which use LPEX as the basis for their editors.

I am looking for macros in Eclipse/LPex and can't find them. Are they only
available if you use CODE to edit source?
