RE: WDSc 5 is slow!

I am guessing either there are bugs, or it is just that slow loading,
searching, and indexing the source. I couldn't get the search to come up, it
took a good 30 seconds plus to load. I am guessing WDSc is not a viable
solution for quick changes.

Now don't get me wrong. The features are awesome, but if I can't make quick
little changes in a timely fashion, then I won't use it. I tried to use it,
but if it takes me 3-4 hours to find the info I need to insert one line of
code, that isn't right. It would have taken me 30 mins or less otherwise in
SEU.

I will keep on trying it, but I can tell you now I probably won't be using
it a ton looking at my first experience.

I also haven't seen much of the promise that WDSc 5 would be faster than
WDSc 4.

Hardware is PIV 2.4 GHz with 512 MB RAM... not that it is slow on it (but
fast is something else).

I want to learn to do this, but it is so slow. I just wanted to view the
outline of a program, I am going on 1/2 hour to see it. I cancelled it, but
still is taking forever. Now granted the compile listing is over 1000 pages
long, but still, I would think it would be faster than that on a 1 Gh
Celeron with 512 MB of RAM. Yes... the cheap skates gave me a celeron.
