Phil When you use VPN you are in a network that is very different from the one you are in. Check your HOSTS table, or DNS server, to see that the IP name you are entering points to the correct "internal" address that you use. HTH Vern At 06:58 PM 11/8/02 -0500, you wrote:
I just installed WDSc - and so far I like it alot. I could see this replacing Ops Nav! One site that I connect to I have to use VPN. I can enter the domain name and check ptf's and other CODE/400 actions, but when I am in RSE and click to expand iSeries Jobs (for example) I get a message that the host name can't be found. I changed it to an ip address and it now works. For sites that I connect to without a VPN, I have no problems using a hostname. Is this a known problem? If not I want to make it known! Phil
