Mary,

We just migrated from V5R4 to V7R1 with System21 V3.52. You need to
determine what RPG programs will not convert and get them corrected, and
test all of your SQL on the target system if you are migrating. Make sure
you third party vendors' products are V7R1 compliant and get licensing. If
you are upgrading, I would suggest a rental V7R1 box to flush out any
issues. The memo to users for upgrading/migrating to V6R1 is helpful. Our
migration took about four hours for the initial save of the current V5R4
system, and about six hours to restore with conversion using the Save21 tape
we just created on our V5R4 system. We did a selective restore of the user
libraries. We had to do this on our HA machine as well. The stuff that
did not convert initially was already corrected on the our target system
from previous months testing.

Subject: [SYSTEM21] V6R1 upgrade

Has anyone done a V6R1 upgrade with version 3.5.1 version of System 21? If
so, can you describe the issues, problems, length of time it took, etc.

Thank You very much.

Mary
