Karim,

You need to be very careful with the data and what you can achieve.
- I might be mis-understanding what you are saying.

OE 340 - is pick note print - but this only shows the time, the pick note run was produced. Not the time the picking was done.
OE125 - is confirm despatch, which - if done manually, will only record the time the confirm despatch was done.

It might be easier to discuss your process on the phone - Sorry ?

Yes as usual the report needs to be ready by yesterday!

The matching part is definitely complicated. The status field seems only to be populated with a 'C' (when OE125 is run). It would have been great if there was a 'P' for 'pick note produced'. As it is, there seem to be two audit rows created when OE125 or OE340 (pick note) are run.

We generate the pick notes through 2/OER so I expect this is real time.

Karim

It also depends how your transactions are captured.
- via HHTs - i.e. real time, or manually entered - which means the audit data would be very iffy.

OK Mike I will bring this to my manager's attention.

Will this question be posted on the System21 forum?

Thanks,
Karim

Karim,
I don't know the database structure that well I'm afraid. My expertise tended to be in the technology side, in particular workflow. You should look into acquiring this module as it is one of the gems in the System21 toolkit Mike

Thanks Mike,

Unfortunately we don't use this module. Is there any other way we could try?

Karim

Karim

One way to do it is use sysyem21 workflow. Create a process with pick and despatch notes included. The workflow audit file will enable you to measure each transaction.

Hello.

Can I please post the following question.

--------------------------------------------------

We use System21 Aurora 2.3 and have had a request from manufacturing for a report that measures the time it takes from picking an order (using 2/OER) to confirming it.

Identifying confirmation times is the (relatively) easy part. Some of the tables we can use are INP56 & INP57.

The part we are struggling with is identifying and matching the pick notes to the confirmations. This is made more difficult when there are multiple despatch notes for an order line.

The closest thing we can find is in OEP55A, the order line audit table. Even here, though, we are struggling because there don't appear to be pick note sequence numbers (as there are with despatch notes) for part-fulfilled orders. We would have to look at the programs used (OE340P & OE125) and somehow create sequences, etc. It can all get very messy.

Furthermore, the table is huge. We are trying to resolve this by purging, backing up, indexing, etc.

Is there an easier way to go about this? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Karim
