Thanks, that makes sense after looking at the company profiles.
Having different supplier and customer accounts for each currency should be a given, but will keep that in mind during setup.

Hi Hudson

I would normally recommend having different supplier and customer accounts for each currency, as in my experience, this minimises simple mistakes and prevents transactions in the wrong currency. If this is the case, having multiple currencies in one company is quite straightforward and does not affect what you already have (apart from reports). This can be for AR and AP, as I presume your CS is already multi currency. Why would you want the GL to be in other than your base currency?

Hope this helps

Simon

Just started talking about it, not sure exact requirements but would need to be all modules GL,AP,AR,OE,AO etc.
Trying to get an idea of what makes more sense. Convert current company to multi or use a second company just for the multi and interface just the gl's.

Hi Hudson

There is no easy way, because it depends on which modules you need to be multi currency. Within each module is a multi currency switch and then you set up the currencies in the GL and it works!!!!! However, it has different effects in each ledger and you need to understand about realised and unrealised gains/losses.

What are you exact requirements?#

Simon

We are looking to convert to multi-currency from single currency.
Does anyone from any info or docs on how to accomplish this.
We can do multi-company if need be, and we are on 2.2.

Thanks.
