Hi Bill,

WHP77 is the Event Details file in System21.

If we take your 2500 pieces as an example and lets say you have a pallet configuration for the product of 500 pieces which gives 5 pallets (5 x 500), and the pallets are located in locations A01,A02,A03,A04 and A05 respectively.

You raise a Sales Order for 2500 pieces, run 2/OER to generate Sales Pick Lists (this populates INP56 and INP57) and then run 22/WHP to release the demand into the Warehouse. The System21 commit process will now go looking for stock in the Warehouse based on the commit rules defined for the item in the Item/Warehouse Profile (4/WHM). Assuming the locations stated above were within the commit rules or you were committing by 'Any Location' then the following would happen...

A record would be created on file WHP75 for the total demand quantity for the item, 2500 pieces in your case. This record will be allocated a unique event number (WHP75) by warehouse.

5 records would be created on file WHP77 which will all have the same event number (WHP77) as per WHP75, but with a different event sequence number (EVSQ77).

A01 for 500
A02 for 500
A03 for 500
A04 for 500
A05 for 500

WHP75 has a one to many relationship with WHP77. The WHP77 records are then tagged with a list number (ACNO77) which is related to WHP73, in other words WHP73 has a one to many relationship with WHP77. It is the list that you confirm via System21 using 7/WHP.

How the WHP77 records are generated is dependant upon your commit rules for the item (4/WHM <F17>) and the profile of your stock in the warehouse at the time you run 22/WHP.

Hope this helps.

Hello all.........

I have a situation where I am entering an order for an item. Let's say I
enter this order for 2500 pieces. If I take this order all the way through
to picking, sometimes this will create more than one event in the WHP77
file. It might create 1 event for 2300 and 1 for 200. For the life of me
I cannot figure out why this occurs. I thought it might have something to
do with the item/warehouse profile, but so far I have been able to disprove
each parameter in the profile that I think might be causing the issue. I
thought it might have to do with the replenishment section of the
item/warehouse profile, where it say the "minimum quantity at the picking
location" is X and the replacement quantity is Y. But if that generated
two events (1 for the pick and 1 for the replenishment) then they shouldn't
both have "from" locations of the pick point and "to" locations of our
shipping marshalling area. Is there an obvious parameter somewhere that I
might be missing? Thanks in advance for any help.
