Gary,
We use advanced pricing, but if I remember correctly, whether with basic or
advanced pricing, the price at despatch just means that it will use the
prices that are current at the time of despatch, on the price list that was
designated at order entry...not that it will read a different price
list/type at time of despatch. The order header contains the price type
that was assigned to the customer at the time the order was entered. So if
I enter an order today for a customer and the price type is RTL and the
price for item AAA is $50, but on June 20th I have price type RTL set up so
that the $50 price expired, and the new price for item AAA on price type
RTL is $75, then if the order is despatched before June 20th it will price
at $50. However if it depatches on June 21, it will price at $75. The
only way I know to get the system to see a new price type that has been
assigned to the customer is for the order to be opened in order amend. It
will then reprice using a different price type.

Orders are raised on our system a week at a time using a bespoke standing
order system.
Each days order is invoiced via EDI on the day of despatch. If often
happens that the customer then contacts us to say a price is wrong. We
then need to correct the prices for the remainder of the weeks orders,
which would entail changing the price list for each order, as this usually
happens with new customers that have been setup with the wrong price list.
I was under the impression that if the price at time is set to despatch,
then when the despatch note is raised the order will be repriced using the
price list, catn and delivery date. However, this is not happening.
Any suggestions if there is anything else we would need to change to
trigger the price recalculation.
We are using basic pricing.
TIA
