Does the compiler then refuse to define the field to the program...?
Severity 00 should not be a problem...
I'm not sure what you're trying to do here...
Does RPGIII support the Date Data-type...? Is that the real question we need to ask...?

Is this a new program you're trying to write over files with ISO Date-Type data fields...?
There must be some RPG gurus out there that can give us the definitive on this one...

I think the real answer may be that you need to update your compiler...

Thanks.

Help!

Is there any way I can convert/access an ISO date field within an RPG III
program - the RPG III compiler is simply ignoring the field with message:
QRG7151 Severity 00 The record format contains DATE/TIME/TIMSTAMP
fields.........ignored.

One for you maybe Jeff!!

Glen
