Hi

In the jbasmg.ini file (located in c:\program files\jbasys21)
under the heading [JBALUEKEYS] Input FIELDPLUS=ADD as follows:

[JBALUEKEYS]
; **********************************************************
; Start Of Second Manual-Update-Only Area
; **********************************************************
; Enter below any keyboard mapping overrides (eg. SEND=CONTROL)
FIELDPLUS=ADD

BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN AMENDING THIS FILE.

There are other limited keys like FIELD MINUS that you can map in this way.

You can find more details within the System 21 Technical Information
(search for Host Action or PC Keys)

The limitation with the above is that the jbasmg.ini file is local to the PC

and unless you copy it down as part on your network log on script, you would

have to visit every PC.

Hope this helps.

Sam

Subject: [SYSTEM21] Explorer & Keyboard Mapping

This message has been successfully checked by the Centura Foods Email
System.

Hi folks,

can anyone tell me if there is a way to map a specific key to be something
else within Explorer.

I know this can be done within Client Access, but I don't seem to be able
to find a way in Explorer.

The reason why is we've recently changed our sales offices over to a thin
client solution using explorer rather than the old 3486's, and because our
product codes are all numeric they use to be able to hit the field exit
key at the side of the numeric keypad. However on the PC keyboard it is
an enter key which is obviously causing them problems.

TIA
