And geac really frowns on the idea of "WORLDS" especially since as you rightly pointed out partitioning makes it really easy to run multiple copies of the software on the same box...

If you really wanted to you could set yourself up as an ASP and make money off of multiple copies of your seats... That's the real reason geac does not support the "WORLD" concept...

I am not in any way advocating that anyone do this since it would be illegal.

You kids don't try this at home...

Sorry if I sounded as if I was taking a defensive position.  I have no
real stake in this, but I went through this exercise several years ago.
The only solution that was forth coming at the time was 'Worlds'.  Other
than that, today's technology gives us LPAR machines so you can set up
separate partitions instead of environments.
