RE: FIFO

Presumable it's being booked into the receiving stockroom as one receipt,
not two, generating
one FIFO record, which, be necessity, has to be 'averaged'

Guys,

Say i have two batches in my stockroom X:

5 pcs of Item A at $1 a piece
5 pcs of Item A at $2 a piece

If i issue 6 pcs going to stockroom Y, my cost would be the average of of 5
pcs at $1 and 1 pc at $2 or $1.166. So i would no longer be FIFO. That is to
say, if i get from two batches with different costs from a stockroom, the
resulting batch in my "to" stockroom would only be 1 and this would have an
average cost. 

Anybody knows why it is that if i issued two batches in one transaction the
receiving stockroom accumulates this to 1 FIFO batch and why it averages the
cost?
