When compiling display formats it may be necessary to set the keyword RSTDSP to
*YES...

       Restore display (RSTDSP) - Help

Specifies whether data being shown at a display device by
this display file is saved at the time the file is
suspended (made temporarily inactive) so that another
display file can show different data on the same device.
If the data for this file is saved, it is restored to the
display of the device when the file is used again.

The possible values are:
*NO  <---  this is the IBM default...
*YES  <---  we change our compile command to use this as a default...

Following is some DDS for a pop-up prompt window that works fine (e.g. you
can drag the window about) in System 21 explorer. It is a proper DDS
window not the pseudo window as in System 21. Hope it helps.
