We found a couple of triggers that need to be updated (not re-written) when
upgrading to V5R1M0 as they had 'hardcoded' field positions into the
buffers. A trigger program that uses the Qsysinc/Qrpglesrc,Trgbuf
(Assuming RPG ILE) copy source to determine field positions will continue
to work without any problems (unless there is something new in V5R2M0 that
I do not know about?).

I have a client who developed trigger programs over MSP40 and INP35 they
had to be rewritten. Database triggers work different in OS400 V5R2 and if

you have any programs developed prior to V5R2, they will need to be
reviewed.

We went to V5R2 straight from V4R5. We upgrade our operating system in
Nov 2002. We don't have any issue so far with our System 21 files and
programs.
