Re: JBA ML - Year End

I have never used it, but there is something called Alternative Year End on
the GL Company Profile.  Does anyone know if this could help Michael with
his problem?

We normally have a June Year End.  Due to circumstances they wish to
have a year end as at Nov 30 this year to roll their Profit and Loss
to Retained Earnings etc.

I can see 2 options... one being a manual journal and the other
amending the Fiscal Year End period on the Company profile (and then
putting it back).

That is, this year will be 5 months long, and then 7 months long.  The
period numbering will still be contiguous (0105 0106 0107 etc) as we
will not be changing the calendar etc.

What issues can you foresee?

Has anyone changed the Fiscal Year End, and the  changed it back
before?
