Good point...

Opt  Object      Type        Attribute   Text
     SLPI0 *FILE PF-DTA Session Control Interface Work File
     SLPI1 *FILE PF-DTA Sales Ledger Items - Interface File
These files are used by the data take-on routines supplied by JBA for migration
of data from your legacy system into JBA during your implementation...
I suppose there may be some people out there who could conceivably be using this
as a feeder process but I would not recommend that method...

We perform our invoicing using Future 3 (release accounting/EDI software) for
which the Detroit office (cheers Woody) wrote an interface in conjunction with
Future 3.

The Future 3 side of the interface populates three files in a custom (bespoke)
library called OSLF3F3 :
SIP30I = Header
SIP31I = Detail
SIP32I = Charges

Once these files have been populated the interface automatically triggers a
validation routine which populates 3 more files :
SIP30 = Header
SIP31 = Detail
SIP32 = Charges

If there are errors then there is a maintenance option on the custom (bespoke)
menu /F30 you can use to fix records as necessary...
Another option allows you to resubmit the interface process to restart the
transfer process...

If all records pass validation then another task is triggered to transfer these
records into SOP :
SIP30I = Header     >  OEP65
SIP31I = Detail          >  OEP70
SIP32I = Charges    >  OEP50

Audit files capture history also.

Once the invoice records are safely deposited into OEP65, OEP70 and OEP50 they
wait there for the invoice clerk to run option 3/OER...
Then the process flows as normal just as if you had confirmed dispatch from
JBA...
This is a very safe and reliable approach which also preserves the records you
need for the Sales Analysis module...

HTH - Good luck.

A key question to ask is whether you want Sales Analysis updates.

If you do, you'll need to create OEP65/70 records.
