Jim,
We've used this method before:-

There is a way copying a print file to your PC so that you can then forward
it on by Email. It assumes you have connected to the AS400 via a PC using
the the IBM software 'Client access'.

1. Sign on to the AS400 JBA system

2. Take the option to create the report.

3. Start the 'AS400 Operation Navigator' program from the PC start button.
Note, its a good idea to minimise all your PC programs before starting this
program:-

Start....
            Programs....
           IBM AS400 Client Access....
                                AS400 Operations Navigator

4. Click on 'Basic Operations'

5. Click on 'Printer Output'

6. You should then see a list of all your jobs that are on the system
awaiting printing. Simply click on the appropriate print and drag it to
your desktop.

7. You can then move the, now text file, to a directory of your choice and
then attached it to an Email.

Subject: How do I get my spool files into MS-Word?

Hi Guys,

Does anybody know of a neat way of easily getting my AS/400 spool files
into
MS-Word or Excel which will then allow me to save it, print it, email it
etc???

Regards, Jim Hatzis (Melbourne)
