Good information and it always nice to get the truth about something. I'm
thinking if there isn't some application out there, maybe a custom set of
programs and a forms package could do the trick. Thanks.

We are using an earlier version of WT and SPEX that we started with V2 of
JBA. When we were moving to V3 we discovered that we were effectively
"orphaned" and wound up just porting our existing WT module files to V3 and
continuing to use the old version of SPEX. With the change in the SED's
this year, this is now pretty much a nightmare. We felt from the start that
the WT/SPEX combination sounded good in theory, but really never worked as
advertised. It required a huge amount of effort up front to get anything
out at all and is now a dead end. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere
for a solution.

Best,

Bruce Stern

There may be more to the issue than just using a forms package like Optio,
we use FormSprint here. You might want to look at the World Trade and
Document Processing modules in System 21. We understand that WT with
Spex(sp) is designed to help with all your needed paperwork for
international orders, etc. We also were lead to believe that with DY you get
better information on all our outbound documents. It is true that you do
need some forms package to format the forms as required and as you know the
System 21 base forms are not very good. We also have had problems getting
anyone at Geac to help with the fact that there is mention of Proforma
Invoices but they really don't exist in System 21. We recommend FormSprint
as it is all AS/400 based and very affordable. Check with someone at Geac
about WT & SPEX.
Good luck, I'm available for more help if needed.
