There is substantially more coverage of Geac in the Canadian media than the
US
A good place is to go is http://www.globeinvestor.com/ and type in GAC -
Geac's symbol.
There will be a list of articles of interest.

For instance:

Struggling Geac Computer Corp. Ltd. said yesterday that it took a
$211.4-million charge in the third quarter, the bulk of it for
underperforming unit JBA Holdings PLC.

In the three months ended Jan. 31, Toronto-based Geac took a one-time
writedown of $196-million for JBA Holdings of Britain, which the software
company bought for about $205.5-million in September, 1999......

Many of you probably noticed that Geac is planning more cutbacks.

I'm wondering what anyone is hearing whether System 21 will stay with Geac
or have a new owner. I would also be interested in comments (public or
private) from anyone that has gone through maintenance fee renewals after
being on one of JBA's famous 5 year prepaid maintenance deals where
maintenance "free" and the software "price" was increased.
