As our FIP45 file is growing bigger and bigger, we are considering running
the AFI purge utility for the first time. Has anyone experienced any
problems with it ?
Also, as this utlity does not provide for purging for a range of period, we
might finally use SQL to remove records from FIP45 for a certain range of
periods. According to our knowledge, we would also have to remove records
from FIP51 for the relevant period range. Would anyone know if there is any
potential danger in doing the purge this way ? Do we need to do a file
reorg after this (is this safe?) ?
Note that we do not really require having the archived sessions inquiry
facility for those records to be deleted . But before deleting we would
backup these 2 files, just in case.

Thank you in advance for your input

Regards
