Assuming you are using JBA's System/21 software, the active (JBA license)
user count is contained in file IPGCFF4/ICF04PHY, with Application code
(APPL04) is '21' and Date Requested Ended (DTOF04) is 9999999. Once you
exit JBA the DTOF04 will be updated with the date you exited the system. I
did notice that if you use F3 to exit JBA the record in ICF04PHY is updated
immediately. However, if you use option '90' from a JBA menu, it may take
several minutes for the record to be updated.

As a sidebar note, if you'd like to know what JBA task each user is using,
the file IPGAMF4/APG02PHY contains the user task allocations. There is
always one record in this file and it is updated as the user enters and
exits menu options (JBA tasks). Note that if the user is sitting on a JBA
menu they will be in the ICF04PHY, but not the APG02PHY file.

Hope this gets you on your way!
Aaron

Subject: User count

I am wanting to monitor our user count, we a constantly hitting the user
limit.

I plan on writting a routine to record our user numbers each half hour so
that
at the end of the day we can get a picture of our peak periods.

Question: What file is the user count in/how do I tell (programattically)
what
the current user count is.

Thanks,
Gary.
