Introduction to Rexair

Thanks to Jeff Klipa of Harvard Industries I believe there will be more
activity here as a result of Jeff informing the Great Lakes Geac/JBA users
group of its availability.  I did not know this existed prior to Jeff's
E-Mail and I am excited to have additional communications with System 21
users.  Like everyone else I need more E-Mail like another hole in the head
but I have read every E-Mail from this group in detail since joining last
week.

Rexair has been using JBA applications since 1992 and I have been involved
with it from the start.  We manufacture Rainbow vacuum cleaners in Cadillac,
MI and our corporate headquarters are located here in Troy, MI.

We are currently at version 3.5.0 and have 3.5.2 with service pack 3
installed a test "world" and plan to move live with this version later this
summer.  We did get the source code with service pack 3.

We have System 21 financials, distribution (heavily modified), and
manufacturing applications with Infinium's personnel and payroll
applications.  We fax 300-400 faxes per day using JBA's Cobwebb fax
application.  and use SPEX for export documentation preparation.  We also
use Varsity Logistics for package shipping with RPS and UPS and created the
Varsity interface to the System 21 order confirmation in-house.  We use GBA
for fixed assets and POSPORT for credit card processing.

We too have been generally happy with JBA but also have concerns with the
Geac acquisition and their position on source for new software purchases.
Very few of the people that we dealt with from JBA Novi, MI are still there
and  Geac/JBA has changed our primary contact three times in the last six
months.
