Mark,

We check all of the items you mention below. In addition, we have to check
the file balances I mentioned in my original posting as well as internal
FLP004 roll foward balances and hierarchy balances.

GL hierarchy rebuild flat out does not work. There are 2 know bugs at this
time. A PTF is avaiable for one and in process for the other. Until these
PTFs are applied, hierarchy rebuild should not be run.

We have had problems with G/L balance rebuild. It appears that most of our
G/L balancing problems started in June when we ran a rebuild. The consensus
of users to whom I spoke at the JBA Financials conference in Las Vegas was
NOT to run the rebuild.

A zero event number in SLP15, SLP20, PLP15 or PLP20 is a BUG as far as I am
concerned. We got hit by this problem several times in the past.

A record in FLP008 with a zero UPDNOG with a corresponding record in FLP007
with a non-zer UPDNOG is also a BUG.

A session in SLP20 in which the sum of the allocation records does not
balance to zero is a BUG. We have had this problem with sessions involving
cancelled checks and deallocations.

We also continue to have problems with future sessions. Users in A/R enter
a period date of 12210 which is interpreted as OCT 2022.

I guess we will just have to continue running our file balance programs and
use SQL, DBU, or DFU as appropriate to fix problems as the crop up.
Patching an amount in error of $305.12 is one thing. Patching an amount
over $1,250,000.00 is quite another.
