                         System 21 & OS/400 V4R4M0

Problem

It has been reported that there is a problem for customers who are running
System 21 on OS/400 level V4R4M0 which affects areas which use Imbedded SQL
within RPG programs. This affects a large number of programs within System
21 including Invoice Print,

This affects a number of System 21 options including:-

Invoice Print
Item Master Re-cost
Run MPS

The problem has been found to be a known OS/400 problem.

Resolution

The problem can be resolved by applying the OS/400 database fix pack (group
PTF SF99104) dated 6th July 1999 or later.

You can check whether this database fix pack has been applied by looking
for the dataarea SF99104 in library QSYS. If it exists, the contents
display what was the release date of the fix pack applied.
